3MTT Lagos Community Update
Building Africa’s Next Generation of Digital Talent.
Dear Lagosian Fellows,
I’m thrilled to welcome you to the inaugural edition of the 3MTT Lagos Community Newsletter — a space to keep you informed, inspired, and connected as we co-create the future of talent in Nigeria.
I know that for many of us, this journey isn’t always loud. Some of you are just getting started, some are moving quietly but consistently, and some are still figuring out where you fit in tech — and that is perfectly okay. What matters is that you showed up.
This newsletter is your space. A reality check, a progress signal, and a reminder that you are not doing this alone.

Community Highlights & Wins
Shadowing Experience at Semicolon: Learning by Immersion
As part of our continued efforts to bridge the gap between learning and real-world experience, a group of Lagos Cohort 1 & 2 Fellows recently had the opportunity to shadow professionals at Semicolon, a leading software engineering and innovation hub.
The visit, which included a workplace tour, developer introductions, observation of live development tasks, and an engaging Q&A session, gave Fellows hands-on insights into how tech teams operate and build solutions.
This kind of experience deepens their understanding of development roles and prepares them for workplace integration — a core goal of the 3MTT program.
🎥 Watch a short recap of the visit here.

Building Nigeria’s Digital Future — One Corps Member at a Time
Seyi led the 3MTT Nigeria team, our partner Loubby AI, and passionate 3MTT Lagos Fellows at the Lagos NYSC Orientation Camp to share one message with corps members:
Skills now matter more than certificates.
With digital skills — in software development, data analysis, cybersecurity, UI/UX, cloud, or AI — young Nigerians can work globally, right from home.
The #3MTT programme makes this possible with free training, and fellows even stand a chance to win laptops, routers, data, and tablets, plus access to jobs and internships through our partners.
The most common reaction we heard?
“Is this really free?”
Yes — completely free.
It was inspiring to see the excitement among corps members, and as we continue driving Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani’s vision — building Nigeria’s digital workforce, one youth at a time.
Together, we’re ensuring no young Nigerian is left behind in the digital economy.
